DANFORTH only wears one color of clothing. All other
characters wear the others colors, but not the color
which DANFORTH always wears. That color is "blue".
Production will be shot in three main locations, with
four other singular scenes: the airport, the college,
and the place overlooking the highway.
OPENING SCENE WITH DANFORTH ARRIVING AT THE AIRPORT
DANFORTH is in the airport, looking at everybody and the
layout of the place.
DANFORTH LOADING INTO HIS VEHICLE AT THE AIRPORT PARKING LOT
DANFORTH drives in his vehicle, returning home. Talking to
himself. He is the driver, as well as the passenger.
FIZZGIG is not there, pet did not go on the trip.

DANFORTH is in a room in his house
DANFORTH
(looking at himself in
the mirror)
I am what I am. The only one that
can exist.
DANFORTH IS VISITING HIS COUSIN'S FAMILY HOUSE TO PICK UP
GIG
DANFORTH arrives at the house, walking up, knocking at front
door.
DANFORTH
(knocking door)
I can't wait to see the Gig again.
Because I can talk to him.
MATILDA
(opens the door, children
running around in
background)
Well hello, DANFORTH. How was your
trip? You get back on a Saturday,
when you should still be on
vacation.
DANFORTH
Oh Yeah. I got things to do the
weekend. But that vacation was
long enough. I've seen it all.
MATILDA
(motions for him to enter
house, then closes door)
Come on in, make yourself at home.
JUMP CUT TO:
THE FOYER OF THE HOUSE, INTO THE SITTING ROOM
MATILDA and DANFORTH walk into the sitting room. [camera
follows]
MATILDA
So how you been? What did you see
out there in wide wide world? Where
all did you go?
DANFORTH
It's been exciting, I guess you
could say. I've been doing alright.
How are you doing, Matilda?
MATILDA
I've been well, we've all been
well, the kids are active as usual!
Thank you for asking. Let me pour
you some tea.
DANFORTH
Sure I don't mind that.
Two kids come running in, it's Ramses and Osiris.
DANFORTH
Hey how you all doing?
MATILDA
Children, say Hello to your Uncle
Danforth!
RAMSES
Hi Uncle Danforth.
OSIRIS
Hi Uncle Danforth.
RAMSES
I'm doing well.
OSIRIS
He hit me, Mommy!
DANFORTH
Oh no.
MATILDA
That's not nice, RAMSES. You
apologize to OSIRIS. (pause) Right
now.
DANFORTH
I guess you better do what your
mama says.
RAMSES
I'm sorry, OSIRIS.
OSIRIS
(starts smiling)
RAMSES and OSIRIS run out of the sitting room. MATILDA gets
up to leave the room.
MATILDA
Let me bring that tea.
DANFORTH talking to himself.
DANFORTH IN CHAIR

DANFORTH STANDING
..
MATILDA returns to the room with a tray of tea cups.
MATILDA
Do tell me what went on in your
travels. Where did you go, what
did you do?
DANFORTH
I've seen many countries. The
world is my oyster. ..
MATILDA

DANFORTH
..
The children run back into the room.
MATILDA
Well, children, your Uncle is here
to retreive his little doggie. Go
fetch Gig for us please.
RAMSES
Okay!
The children run out of the room and go upstairs.
RAMSES AND OSIRIS IN THE ROOM WITH GIG.
RAMSES and OSIRIS enter the room where GIG is staying. They
run in and play with the dog.
OSIRIS
Fetch the ball, Gig!
RAMSES
Come with us, Gig.
RAMSES picks up the dog to carry him downstairs to DANFORTH.
DANFORTH AND MATILDA IN THE SITTING ROOM
RAMSES and OSIRIS with GIG enter the room
DANFORTH
Here's the captain! It's so good
to see you, Gig!
GIG
(happy to see his owner)
DANFORTH AT HOME AGAIN IN ANOTHER ROOM WITH MIRROR
DANFORTH is in another room, with another mirror, talking
into it.
DANFORTH
(looking in mirror)
Mirror mirror, who's the only one
of them all? (pause) Yes, it's me.
Of course.
DANFORTH TAKES WALK WITH DOG
He is taking a walk down his neighborhood street, with his
dog, Fizzgig. He stops over at one of his neighbors houses,
down a long driveway. His neighbor is there, Gus, the
sanitation worker.
DANFORTH
(knocking at the door,
from the porch, talks to
Fizzgig)
Gus will be home, it's his day off.
GUS
Oh hey, DANFORTH. Boy, is it great
to see you this morning. How you
been?
DANFORTH
Hi, Gus. I've been existing, as I
always do. And how would you say
you've been? (TO HIMSELF: not that
you exist. And you wouldn't really
know how you've been)
GUS
I'm doing alright. Life is going
good, as far as I can tell. I
can't complain. You wanna come in?
DANFORTH
Sure, if you got some time.
GUS
Come on in. Let's get around all
this trash I'm sorting out. We'll
go back here to the man cave.
DANFORTH IS IN GUS'S PLACE
DANFORTH and GUS are sitting in the man cave, next to the
woodstove. GUS is stoking up the fire, adding more
firewood.
DANFORTH

It makes me think of this guy who
was trying to blow smoke up my rear
end!
DANFORTH IS ON THE COUCH, WAKING UP FROM A NAP
DANFORTH lays in the couch and sits up, rubbing his eyes. He
just had a nap with a vivid dream he recollects.
DANFORTH
.. It's all just a dream. hmmm All
just, all just, all all all, just
just just. Just all. (laughs out
loud)
DANFORTH MEETS WITH MOLLY ON COLLEGE CAMPUS
DANFORTH walks up to MOLLY, who is reading the Holy Bible.
DANFORTH

DANFORTH AT HOME WITH A PIECE OF PAPER
DANFORTH is sitting at a desk and writing a note
DANFORTH
(talking to himself, with
his pen writing)
Reminder to self: everything is
just for my amusement. All the
world is entertainment for my
pleasure.
CAMERA IS POSITIONED OVER DANFORTH'S SHOULDER, ZOOMING IN ON
THE PAPER AS HE IS WRITING.
DANFORTH IS ON TOP OF A HILL AND DECLARES HIS CREED
DANFORTH is climbing to get to the top of this hill. He is
huffing and puffing to exert himself.
DANFORTH
This is my creed. I am the self, I
am the only one. The only being
who exists and it is all completely
emanating from my own mind. As far
as God, I WAS God, in the very
beginning. I created all of this,
I finished the creating and then I
took my place in the midst of it
all. I wanted to get the
experience of being within my
creation. This is the way that I
can do that.
DANFORTH
(continues, after
shifting his position
and looking towards a
different view of the
land below)
My creed includes the principle of
multiple lives, incarnations. Over
and over again I return to my
creation, this whole world. I can
and will continue to be
reincarnated. Just as I have been
this time, into this present life,
what's all in front of me now.
DANFORTH
I created my mother and father. I
my relatives. I even created my
brother who died in childhood. I
created all of my teachers and
friends and co-workers along the
way. This was to have the outer
structure. It's all totally for my
amusement. I am constantly amused.
DANFORTH
My creed is my belief, it's what
makes sense, all things considered.
DANFORTH
The world is fundamentally "The
Construct" that I constructed in
the very beginning. Now I merely
have to project it, like a movie
projector. I am "The Projector".
DANFORTH
And whenever I hear something from
somebody which goes against
anything in my creed, I know it's a
reminder, a mental note for me. I
know everytime I hear
contradiction, that all I have to
do is change it to the opposite. I
hear their statement and then I
convert it into the opposite.
That's automatic, turn it opposite!
It's because they are there, so I
can challenge myself! They
actually turned it opposite and I
turn it opposite right back! Those
sneaky buggers, turning my creed
inside-out.
DANFORTH
For example, when Rex says he
DANFORTH DESCENDS FROM THE HILLTOP
DANFORTH is climbing down and rationalizing about ideas and
inconsistencies.
DANFORTH
Sometimes I don't know why I set up
my reality like this. It seems I
forget, I generate confusion on
purpose. I project too much, way
too much, but I gotta admit, that
entertains me. Just contemplate
all those billions upon billions of
"others". I must have gotten
really bored when I decided to
simulate all of them! What a
fantastic parade of entertainment!

DANFORTH
Because MY self is THE self, it's
the only one. I am the only one.
Here is unity in the universe.
There is no duality in the Being.
In the THING, there is
multiplicity. All kinds of things.
And that is costructed from my
perceptions and originally from my
creation. That's what I created, I
constructed the Construct.
GUS

DANFORTH
So I have The Construct and I keep
projecting it. I am also the
Projector of the Construct! Wow,
it's amazing. It is all form my
original Construct. But remember
The Construct is an illusion.
Although it does seem to be real.
The senses tell me it's real.
However, the senses are part of the
game. Yet the senses cannot be
trusted! Ssense are just for the
entertainment.

(talking to himself)
If a tree falls in the forest and
nobody is there to hear it, does it
make a sound?

DANFORTH IN FOREST
The answer is, NO.
JUMP CUT TO:
DANFORTH ON COUCH
Nothing makes a sound. Nothing
happens, unless I am there. Of
course not! UNLESS I get there,
everything is on HOLD. It's
FROZEN.
JUMP CUT TO:
DANFORTH IN FRONT OF TV SCREEN
I normally don't pay much attention
to any movies, but reality is like
that movie "Dark City". (he
imitates the characters) Shut it
down! Shut it down!!
JUMP CUT TO:
DANFORTH WITH GLOBE
Totally frozen, on-hold. For
example... (points to locations on
globe) In China, I'm not there, so
nothing is going-on. It waits
until I arrive. In Europe, nothing
is going-on. In Australia, nothing
is going-on. In Brazil. Nothing.
In Russia. Nothing. (points to
all places, spinning the globe
fast) nothing, nothing, nothing.
ENDING SCENE OVERLOOKING TOWN
DANFORTH is overlooking a crowded, bustling city and
philosophizing to himself.
CITY NOISES
The sounds of traffic and machines
in the city.
DANFORTH
Take a look. I've really outdone
myself this time! So many people,
All the hustle and bustle. They
are like countless ants, just ants.
It's merely to provide my
entertainment. But I don't want to
get too close. All that (sweeping
motion with his arm) is outside of
my mind. I'm HERE, in my mind. I
am the inner; that's the outer.
Merely a projection from within my
imagination. I am projecting it
all. I have a function like a
movie projector.
